AirPods

These Apple AirPods are the perfect solution for keeping your tunes flowing and cancelling out unwanted external noise. Not only do you get to listen to your favourite music for up to 24 hours, they are also super lightweight. And because they’re wireless, you’ll never have to worry about the string getting tangled up in literally everything around you. Added to that, these earphones are incredibly comfy. Which means they’re great for on-the-go use literally everywhere; whether you’re traveling, hiking, going for a jog or just hanging out.
A portable charger

I never go anywhere without my portable charger. For starters, I never have to worry about my iPhone’s battery running out just before I find that picture-perfect setting I’ve been looking for the whole morning. Nor do I need to stress about how on earth I’m going to find XYZ.
With this portable charger, you’ll never have to worry about any of that ever again. Added to that, it is one of the smallest and lightest external batteries out there. It’s ultra-compact design and Anker’s world-renowned PowerIQ and VoltageBoost give a tailored, high-speed charge to almost any device; making them a pretty neat travel gadget or gift.
A digital luggage scale

This digital luggage scale is a great addition to any traveler’s travel gadgets and a great choice if you are shopping for affordable travel gifts. Now you can measure the weight of your luggage on-the-go without worrying about paying in those nasty excess baggage costs.
What I love most about this digital scale is that it measures weight in both pounds and kilos (up to 100lb/ 50kg). So you’ll never have to worry about converting the measuring units. Added to that, the simple button operation makes it extremely user-friendly. Plus, no setup is necessary! So, you are able to measure your bag in an instant – anytime and anywhere.
A universal travel adapter

This travel adapter is an awesome affordable travel gift and a must for any frequent traveler. You’ll never have to sweat about dragging those nasty multi-set plugs with you (hoping one of the prongs will fit) – because this little guy works in 150 countries. It’s also compatible with dual voltage appliances. So basically, it works with most cameras, smart phones and laptops that has 100-250 VAC 50/60Hz input voltage. In addition, the USB ports allow you to charge multiple devices easily and safely.
Gadget Tip: As with most travel adapters, please remember that they do not actually convert voltage. Universal ac adapters only convert the power outlet. If you are taking high power appliances, such as hair dryers or straighteners with you, please remember to also take an electrical converter when traveling to countries with a different electrical output. Also, before you buy any travel adapter, it’s vital to read the fine print. So don’t forget to make sure it covers all those awesome countries you plan on visiting before you hit buy!

Not only do they dry quick, sand literally cannot stick to these guys! I love these stylish retro cabana designs from Dock & Bay. Apart from being super colourful, they’re lightweight and pack down easily, putting them right up there with most desired travel gifts.

You see, instead of worrying about your bag falling out of the raft or getting your cellphone wet, you can actually enjoy that rapid on your whitewater rafting trip. Furthermore, dry bags keep all your gear dry and safe for all kinds of outdoorsy activities; from kayaking, rafting, boating, hiking, camping and even fishing.

Oh, adapters and chargers are a must! And you know what, I might just share your post with few friends of mine so that the next time they are giving me a present, it would be something I’d actually need! 😀
Good list, thanks!
Thanks for stopping by, Danijela. Definitely; in fact, chargers and adapters go into my bags first. Lol, that’s a great idea! Fingers crossed! 🙂
Love this!! So many great ideas here. Definitely keeping this handy for future gifts 🙂
Great to hear, Lauren! Thanks for stopping by.
Great tips. We have some version of almost all of these – except the dry bag and the scale. My husband has a good sense of what 50 lbs feels like to lift, so that works in most cases. When it comes to different luggage restrictions, especially in kilograms, then we’re at a loss and a scale would definitely help!
Thanks for taking the time to comment, Michelle. I’ll check out your list! Your husband sounds like a handy guy to have around! 🙂 I’m the worst at converting measurements, so a luggage scale is definitely a worthy investment for anyone in the same boat as me!
Didn’t realise until now that there’s a cheaper alternative to noise cancelling earphones. Cause it usually costs more than RM 1000! Thanks for the recommendation, will check them out!
Thanks for stopping by, Jeremy. Wow, that is expensive! I quickly did a quick conversion to NT$ and that’s practically a return flight from Taiwan to any hit-list destination within Asia!
Happy this list can help.
This is such an exceptional list of gifts which will come in handy as I have plenty of friends who are travellers. I am saving your post and hope to put it to use soon. Thanks for the detailed list!
That’s fantastic! Glad you like it. Thanks for stopping by, Lydia. 🙂
